RediCARD replacement

RediCARD replacement

RediCARD replacement

RediCARD is being withdrawn across Australia, so we’re making everyday banking simpler by replacing all rediCARDs with Visa Debit Cards in October 2023.

How will this work?

If you have ONLY a rediCARD on your account, you’ll automatically receive a Visa Debit card in the mail in October 2023.

If you have BOTH a rediCARD and a Visa Debit Card on your account, you won’t receive a new Visa Debit card, however you can request one if required.

All MyState Bank rediCARDs will stop working from 24 February 2024 or the expiry date on the card if it’s before 24 February 2024. Once you’ve received your Visa Debit Card and activated it, please securely destroy your rediCARD prior to this date.

What if I haven’t received a Visa Debit Card?

If you have not received a Visa Debit card in the mail by 31 October 2023, please contact us on 138 001 or visit your nearest branch.

You will also not receive a new card if you already have a Visa Debit card on your account.

What are the benefits of the Visa Debit Card?

A Visa Debit Card has:

  • More Payment Options: Pay safely in-store, overseas, and online. It works with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Garmin Pay, Fitbit Pay and wherever you see the contactless symbol.
  • More Control: Customise your card settings in Internet Banking or the MyState Bank App. You can block your card for specific transaction types, providing extra security.
  • Added Security: Covered by Visa’s Zero Liability policy* for unauthorised charges.
  • Exclusive Perks: Access Visa offers and discounts from popular retailers when you register with Visa offers and perks at Visa.com.au

* Visa’s Zero Liability policy covers Australian and New Zealand-issued cards and does not apply to ATM transactions, transactions not processed by Visa or certain commercial card transactions. Cardholders should notify their Issuer promptly of any unauthorised Visa use. Please consult your Issuer for additional details.
