How to get started with the App

You’ll need to register for Online Banking before accessing the MyState Bank App. Follow our simple, step-by-step guide.

How to Register for Online Banking

New customer?

Open an account through the MyState Bank Mobile App

  1. At the bottom of the App home page, you’ll see ‘Not a customer? Sign up now’. Click ‘Sign up now’ and follow the steps to open a new transaction or savings account at mystate.com.au to be automatically registered for Online Banking.
  2. Once your account is open, you’ll receive a temporary password within minutes.

Login to the App for the first time

  1. Open the MyState Bank App and enter the temporary password to login for the first time. You’ll be prompted to change your password once you’ve logged in.
  2. Then follow the prompts to switch to a 4-digit-pin, so you don’t have to enter your password each time you login.
  3. Now you’re ready to explore the App. Start with features like personalised insights, updating your personal details or setting up a PayID.

Already a customer?

Register by phone

  1. Call MyState Bank Customer Care on 138 001. We’ll register you for Online Banking and you’ll receive a temporary password within minutes

How to Download and login to the App

Download the App

You can download the App from the App Store or Google Play

  1. Open Google Play or the App Store on your mobile device, search ‘MyState Bank’ and press ‘GET’.
Android 13 users: The MyState App is currently not available via Google Play. We know this isn’t ideal and are working on a solution. In the meantime you can access Internet Banking via mystate.com.au.

Login and change the Pin

  1. Once downloaded, open the MyState Bank App to login, then change the pin.
  2. Enter your customer number and password and press ‘Login’. If you have just registered for Online Banking this will be your temporary password, which you will be prompted to change.
  3. Then follow the prompts to switch to a 4-digit-pin, so you don’t have to enter your password each time you login.
  4. Now you’re ready to explore the App. Start with features like personalised insights, updating your personal details or setting up a PayID.

How to start banking on the App

View accounts, check balances and transaction history

  1. Once you’ve logged into the App all of your accounts including balances are available.
  2. Tap on each account to view your transaction history or scheduled payments.

Make payments

  1. Press the ‘Pay’ button
  2. Select the type of payment you want to make and follow the prompts

Access nifty features like eStatements and Insights

  1. Navigate to the menu in the top left hand corner of the App and scroll down to eStatements, Insights or any of the other menu items and follow the prompts to access.
  2. Now you’re ready to explore the App. Start with features like personalised insights, updating your personal details or setting up a PayID.
