MyState Bank takes out top mainland award
MyState Bank has outperformed strong competition to take out the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) Excellence Award for Mutual Credit Unions/Lenders for Victoria/Tasmania.
The awards are judged on excellence and professionalism across all areas of business, based on feedback from a panel of independent industry judges.
The MFAA award – announced earlier this month – is the latest in a series of accolades, establishing MyState Bank as one of Australia’s top home lenders.
“We make a point of listening to brokers so we understand what creates good outcomes for their customers,” said Huw Bough, MyState Bank’s General Manager of Banking.
“This award tells us that brokers are advocating for us, which means our strategy is on track for the market, our customers and our partnerships.”
The award is particularly significant for a Tasmanian bank with mainland ambitions.
“Continuing growth across our home loan portfolio includes record monthly business from Victoria,” said Blake Albones, Head of Lending Distribution (Retail, Broker & Digital).
“It’s very rewarding to be recognised for our increasing share of the mainland home lending market so early in our expansion. This is an awesome achievement for our teams across the country.”
Mr Albones also is quick to acknowledge the role played by MyState Bank’s broker relationship managers.
“We all understand that the support of mortgage brokers is critical to our success, and our relationship managers have worked hard to develop those vital connections,” said Mr Albones.
“I’d like to thank them all for doing an outstanding job. The whole team would also like to thank MFAA and its members for this award.”
The latest in a series of accolades for MyState Bank
Momentum Intelligence’s 2022 Third Party Lending annual survey of 1050 residential mortgage brokers ranked MyState Bank as the strongest third-party provider of 14 small banks.
MyState Bank also achieved 81 per cent of the maximum score across lending products, personnel, speed, support and technology according to survey data collected between February and April 2022.
However, the bank has no intention of resting on its laurels.
“We’ll continue to provide brokers with great products and ongoing support so they can deliver exceptional services to their clients,” Mr Bough added.
MyState Bank will now join the other Victoria/Tasmania MFAA Excellence Awards winners as finalists in the national awards, to be held on 27 July in Sydney.
