Can someone open a bank account in your name?

You are unable to open a bank account in another person’s name if that person is intended to be the sole owner of the account. You will need to be a joint owner of the account. You can open a joint account in both your name and the name of another account holder online in minutes. Please note that identification and verification is required for all names on an account.
