When to apply
Applications for the 2010 Grant Round have now closed.
Eligibility
Grants by the Foundation are usually in the range of $1,000 - $5,000, but consideration may be given to worthwhile youth projects for higher amounts.
The Foundation will consider applications from organisations that are an endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).
Endorsement as an income tax exempt charity is not mandatory for applications.
Your organisation will need to be involved in assisting young Tasmanians in the community and preference will be given to organisations that:
a. benefit as many young people as possible in the Tasmanian community
b. demonstrate funds are retained in Tasmania;
c. demonstrate a measurable benefit and achievable goals.
The Foundation will not make grants for:
fundraising events/campaigns;
normal operating costs, administration etc other than in exceptional circumstances;
debt retirement or budget deficits.
Individuals and Foundations/organisations that are themselves grant-making bodies are not able to submit an application for a grant from the MyState Financial Community Foundation.
The Grant Application
You will need to submit your application for funding on a MyState Financial Foundation Application, available for downloading from 13 February 2010. Forms will also be available in branches or by calling 138 001 from Monday 15 February.
You will also be asked to provide evidence of your organisation’s status as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) under Subdivision 30-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
